FOOD TECH STRUCTURES COMPLETES HIGHWOOD COLD
FREEZER ADDITION
Londonderry, NH, December 20, 2005 –
Massachusetts-based planning, engineering and construction firm Food Tech Structures has completed design and construction on a 25,000 SF new freezer addition for Highwood Cold Storage of Londonderry, NH.
The expansion to Highwood Cold's freezer warehouse was planned when Food Tech engineered and constructed the original 95,000 SF facility in 2001.
"The original building was constructed with this expansion in mind," says Food Tech Senior Vice President David Wittliff, P.E. "This allows Highwood Cold Storage to continue their growth as a business while offering state-of-the-art cold storage and logistical support services to their clients”
“Food Tech did an outstanding job from concept through to occupancy," says Ed Dougherty, General Manager for Highwood Cold Storage and its counterpart, Londonderry Freezer. "Their professionalism in construction management resulted in a project that was on time, on budget and met all expectations. Many of the subcontractors expressed that they enjoyed working with Food Tech; how often do you hear that on a construction project?" Dougherty went on to say that Construction Manager Richard Bott "handled the construction meetings with a 'let's get it done' attitude, and kept us involved throughout the entire project."
