FOOD TECH ASSISTS RUGGIERO SEAFOOD'S GROWTH WITH FACILITY EXPANSION AND NEW FREEZER

Newark, NJ, January 18, 2007 –
Massachusetts-based planning, engineering and construction firm Food Tech Structures has been retained by Ruggiero Seafood to design and construct an expansion to its existing facility as well as a Greenfield distribution freezer in Newark, NJ.

Construction is currently underway for Ruggiero's expansion of its Ave. L facility in Newark, NJ, and consists of kitchen, processing and cooler space, all adjacent to Ruggiero's existing distribution freezer. With completion set for summer 2007, the expansion will allow Ruggiero Seafood to continue to grow at this location.

Ruggiero's plans for a new 55,000 square foot high rise distribution freezer on Wilson Ave. in Newark is scheduled to go under construction in early 2007, and will allow Ruggiero to consolidate frozen warehouse operations into one location. The Greenfield facility features a unique "Geopier" foundation system that has saved Ruggiero in excess of $1M compared to conventional driven steel piles. Completion is slated for late 2007.
